Distinguished Professor of English, Disability Studies and Medical Education, University of Illinois Chicago

I am Distinguished Professor of Liberal Arts and Sciences at the University of Illinois at Chicago. I have appointments in the Department of English, Department of Disability and Human Development, and the Department of Medical Education. I have written or edited over 25 books and written numerous articles on the novel, disability, class, and critical theory. My newest books is "Poor Things: How Those With Money Depict Those Without" (Duke UP 2024).
