Leslie H. Picca is a Professor of Sociology, and currently serves as the Roesch Endowed Chair in the Social Sciences at the University of Dayton. She received her Ph.D. in Sociology, and Women's Studies and Gender Research Graduate Certificate from the University of Florida. She served as Chair of the Department of Sociology, Anthropology, and Social Work from 2014-2019. She is co-author of the books Two-Faced Racism: Whites in the Backstage and Frontstage (Routledge, 2007), and Jim Crow's Legacy: The Lasting Impact of Segregation (Rowman & Littlefield, 2015), among other academic articles.
