Lia Rose Newman

I have held the position of director and curator of the Van Every/Smith Galleries since January 2013, where I am responsible for curating exhibitions, developing exhibition-related programming, and overseeing and growing the Davidson College Art Collection, including the Campus Sculpture Program. I particularly enjoy curating interdisciplinary exhibitions, with a focus on supporting socially and politically engaged artists.
