Doctoral Researcher, Lund University

I am engaging in research of economic history, especially interested in institution and financial history. I did my first PhD in Tsinghua University in China, and spent one year in Yale University in the US for a joint-training program. After graduated, I worked for 5 years in the financial sector in China, first as an analyst, then as a fund manager. Due to my work, I got a closer understanding of the financial market and economic cycle, and started to question the traditional theoretical framework of finance and economics. Finally, I decided to go back to academia in 2017, in order to investigate my research questions.

Between 2009 and 2012, I published three papers on top economic journals in China, all of which are about pre-modern Chinese land market. Between 2013 and 2017, I was less productive in academic because of work, but still co-authored a book about corporate history, and translated a book in the field of the history of economic thought from English to Chinese. Now I am writing papers about financial crisis and central banking history.
