University Teaching Consultant, Massey University

I draw on my 15+ years of experience teaching cross-disciplinary courses and tertiary teaching and learning courses to support university teachers improve their teaching practice and gain recognition of their teaching. Over the years I have taught large and small cohorts in face-to-face and online/distance learning, at undergraduate and postgraduate level. My research interest are at the intersection of teaching and learning, the Ako relationship. I have published and presented on research on the transitions and success of tertiary students with dyslexia in New Zealand and recently completed a PhD on the reflexive internal and external conversations students have in considering concepts of citizenship taught in university courses.
