Research Fellow, Monash University

I am a Research Fellow and PhD candidate at Monash University Accident Research Centre. My PhD is titled ‘Dog Bite Injury: an investigation into the effectiveness of regulation’

My research is considering the efficacy of breed specific laws to significantly reduce dog attacks. Similar legislation, in other jurisdictions around the world, targeting specific breeds has been shown by published scientific research to have failed to reduce the incidence of dog attacks and there is no research yet published showing that breed specific laws have worked.

The outcomes of my research, not yet completed, will be published as a thesis and in scientific journals and will be publicly available.
