Research associate, SAMRC Developmental Pathways for Health Research Unit, University of the Witwatersrand

Lindile Cele is a research associate who has conducted syndemic research on populations in Soweto, South Africa at the Developmental Pathways for Health research Unit (DPHRU), at the University of the Witwatersrand. She holds a Master's degree from the University of KwaZulu-Natal in Biology focused on marine molecular ecology. She has worked in several projects including Helti, Soweto Syndemics, Soweto Stress, the effects of COVID on mental health, and Flourishing/ukuphumelela. Lindile's research interests include mental health and how this impacts healthy populations and those living with chronic illnesses.
