PhD Candidate in Law, University of Alberta

Lindsay Keegitah Borrows (Chippewas of Nawash First Nation) has worked as a lawyer and researcher for the Indigenous Law Research Unit at the University of Victoria, and for West Coast Environmental Law as part of the RELAW (Revitalizing Indigenous Laws for Land, Air and Water) Project. Her work focuses on the revitalization of Indigenous legal traditions for application in contemporary contexts. She is also passionate about story-telling and language revitalization, which led to her book, “Otter’s Journey through Indigenous Language and Law” (UBC Press, 2018). Lindsay is a PhD Candidate in law at the University of Alberta. She received her J.D. from the University of Victoria Faculty of Law and her B.A. from Dartmouth College,
