Contract Lecturer, Department of Education and Department of Interdisciplinary Studies, Lakehead University

I am the former Executive Director of the Self-Regulation Institute (SRI), a not-for-profit research organization dedicated to conducting and supporting Self-Reg research initiatives. As former Director of Research at Roots of Empathy, a large not-for-profit organization, I oversaw all aspects of research globally. I trained as a developmental psychologist under Dr. Stuart Shanker and Dr. Stanley Greenspan and continued my journey as Senior Scientist at the Milton and Ethel Harris Research Initiative (MEHRI) at York University where I designed and led multiple school-based research initiatives and worked with children with special needs and their families. I have been instructing as contract lecturer at Lakehead University, Department of Education and Department of Interdisciplinary Studies, since 2019 and previously instructed as Professor of Psychology in the School of Liberal Arts and Academic Partnerships at Seneca at York. I consult internationally supporting children, educators, parents, and Governments with the central focus of cultivating well-being.

In addition, I have served on the Advisory Committee for Measuring What Matters (People for Education) and as a member of the Babies and Preschool Working Groups as part of the National Reading campaign. I am currently on the Editorial Board of the International Journal of Holistic Early Learning and Development.
