I am a Canadian of northern European descent, living and working on the unsurrendered, unceded territory of the Algonquin Nation.Currently, I am a PhD Candidate at the University of Ottawa, Faculty of Education, where I am also a part-time professor in both the teacher education programme and the graduate studies programme. I am on leave from teaching at Pierre Elliott Trudeau Elementary School In Gatineau, Quebec, where I've been a classroom teacher and mentor coach since 2006.

I am also the Research Coordinator on a three year SSHRC funded project that investigates teachers experiences with the education for reconciliation campaigns that the First Nations Child and Family Caring Society has developed. My research interests involve Indigenous education, ethical relationality, social justice, and teacher education.
