Lisa-Maria Rebelo is a remote sensing specialist by profession. She holds the position of Lead Scientist for Digital Earth Africa, a program which provides a routine, reliable and operational service, using Earth observations to deliver decision-ready products enabling policy makers, scientists, the private sector and civil society to address social, environmental and economic changes on the continent and develop an ecosystem for innovation across sectors.
Prior to this role, and as Principal Researcher at the International Water Management Institute (part of the Consultative Group for International Agricultural Research), Lisa was stationed in Vientiane at IWMI’s office for Southeast Asia and the Mekong from 2012-2019, and in Addis Ababa in IWMI's office for the Nile Basin and East Africa.
