Doctoral researcher in computational social science, Hertie School

Lisa is a doctoral researcher in the field of computational social science at the Hertie School in Berlin. Her research focuses on the public discourse in online environments and the role of digital media for democratic politics. While integrating psychological and political science perspectives, she uses digital trace data and online experiments to better understand social phenomena such as climate change skepticism, online hate speech and political polarisation.

She graduated from the University of Oxford, UK, with a MSc degree in Social Data Science, and from the University of Kassel, Germany, with a BSc and MSc degree in Psychology. Both, her Masters studies as well as her PhD are funded by the German Academic Scholarship Foundation.
