Assistant Professor, Information Systems, University of Canberra

Lubna Alam is an Assistant Professor of Information Systems and researcher of the National Institute for Systems Innovation, University of Canberra. Lubna joined the University in 2003 and has more than 12 years of teaching and research experience. Central to her research is a focus on emerging social information systems such as social media and crowdsourcing and their application in communicative practices, technology impacts, disaster management and relational governance with a focus on public sector and not-for-profits. Other research interests include digital citizenship, e- learning and plagiarism. Lubna was also the recipient of a 2012 Vice-Chancellor's Excellence Award for Outstanding Contribution to Student Learning.
