Prof. Anelich is Adjunct Professor at the Central University of Technology and Owner of her own food safety consulting and training business, Anelich Consulting.
She is reviewer for 3 peer-reviewed journals and acts as External Examiner for Masters & PhD students from 3 research-intensive universities in South Africa. She's co-editor of two new books, Present Knowledge in Food Safety and ICMSF Book 9. She is a fluent English, Italian- and Afrikaans-speaker. She was the first woman in South Africa to be elected Fellow of the International Academy of Food Science and Technology and the only South African member of the International Commission on the Microbiological Specifications for Foods. She served as President of the SA Association of Food Science and Technology for 4 years, 2015-2019.
