Lucia's research broadly revolves around the human dimensions of global environmental change.
Within this broad research theme, she looks at issues related to climate change-health nexus.
Her research seeks to explore the social aspects of climate change such as perception,
understanding and knowledge of climate change-health threats. In addition, health adaptation
planning, health systems and practitioners capacity and resilience towards climate-health risks.
Her regional concentration is sub-Saharan Africa.
