Dr Zorzoli research focuses on labour and labour transformations since the neoliberal turn. In particular, her work focuses on examining the transformations of labour in South American countries since the authoritarian experiences of the sixties and seventies.

One of the core themes of her research is to understand workers’ sources of power, changes in their organisations and organisational strategies, and how these had and has an impact on capital-labour relations and developmental trajectories. A second theme of her research is concerned with the International Labour Organization (ILO) role in the region, considering the challenges faced by the ILO and ILO International Labour Standards in developing countries as those of the Global South.
