Luciana is Disglair Lecturer in Employment Relations and HR Management at the Management, Employment and Organisation Section in Cardiff Business School (Cardiff University).

Luciana completed her PhD in Social Sciences (2016, University of Buenos Aires) and a postdoctoral project founded by Argentine National Scientific and Technical Research Council (CONICET), developed thanks the award of a Fulbright Fellowship to work in the Institute of Latin American Studies at Columbia University (New York), and a Postdoctoral Research Association with SOAS (University of London). She recently held academic visiting positions at the Institute of Advanced Studies (University of London), the University of Valparaíso Business School (Chile) and the University of Salamanca (Spain). Before joining Cardiff, Luciana was an Affiliate Lecturer at the Department of International Development at King's College London.

Luciana's research interests include international and comparative employment relations focusing on labour unions in South America. In close connection to this, she is interested in the role of the International Labour Organization (ILO) in the region and the challenges faced by the ILO in the Global South.
