In 2018, Lucy completed an MPhys (hons) in physics from the University of Bath. She is currently working towards a doctorate in Applied Mathematics at Cardiff University. Her research focusses on developing mathematical models of bat movement, as well as developing software to estimate the location of bat roosts.
