Training in infectious diseases (medical degree and fellowship train, board certified infectious diseases) and public health (Master's degree). 10 years experience in state public health department as Chief, Center for Surveillance, Infection Prevention and Outbreak Response. Responded to state public health emergencies. Research in HIV/HCV health outcomes, infections in injection drug users, healthcare associated infections, antibiotic resistance, disease surveillance and outbreak response.Currently Professor, UMBC Department of Emergency Health Services and Graduate Program Director.
