Luke Fairbanks

I’m a human geographer and environmental social scientist whose research interests include human–environment interactions in ocean and coastal spaces, as well as geographic approaches to understanding environmental policy and management. My past and ongoing projects explore the values people associate with aquaculture and seafood production, critical perspectives on marine spatial planning (ocean planning), marine aquaculture politics and policy, and the development of large marine protected areas.
