I am a senior lecturer in science education at the University of York where I work on science and environmental education. My most recent work focuses on how young people perceive environmental interventions and how they experience environmental education in formal and non-formal contexts. I am particularly interested in the role of education in enabling young people to participate in dialogue and political decision-making about environmental issues. My undergraduate degree is in chemistry and I hold a PGCE in secondary science education and a PhD in science education.
