Magdalena Martínez García

Magdalena Martínez-García is a postdoctoral researcher in the Neuroimaging group of the Gregorio Marañón Hospital in Madrid. She is interested in investigating the female brain during both natural and induced hormonal transitions, which are key in many women's lives. Her research focuses on characterizing, by Magnetic Resonance Imaging, the brain remodeling in the women's brains during pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum periods and determining how such adaptations can deviate from normality and cause mental health problems. In 2020 Magdalena was awarded a Fulbright predoctoral grant to complete her Ph.D. at the University of Southern California of Los Angeles California.
