Malcolm's research interests include property law (particularly land reform), commercial law and clinical legal education. He is the Faculty Director of the Aberdeen Law Project, putting him in a supervisory role of the student run pro bono legal advice centre at the University of Aberdeen, and has been involved with the Scottish University Law Clinic Network since its launch.
