Malcolm Mackerras

Malcolm Mackerras was born in August 1939 and these days is described as "Australia’s veteran psephologist". For some fifty years he was described as "Australia’s leading psephologist". His AO (awarded in 2006) makes reference to his psephology and also to his "commitment to reform and improvement of the electoral system". He is best known as the creator of a helpful diagram known as "the Mackerras Pendulum".
