Malte Phillipp Kaeding

Senior Lecturer in International Politics, University of Surrey

I am Senior Lecturer in International Politics in the Department of Politics. Previously I lectured at the University of Heidelberg and Hong Kong Baptist University.
I finished my PhD at the Department of Government and International Studies (GIS) at Hong Kong Baptist University.

I obtained my prior degrees (Magister Artium) in Political Science and Chinese Studies at the University of Heidelberg (Germany) and studied Political Science, Film Studies and Comparative Literature at Hong Kong University and Chinese language (Mandarin) in Taiwan at National Sun Yat-sen University (Kaohsiung) and National Cheng Kung University (Tainan).

I am the co-founder and co-convenor of the Hong Kong Studies Association and an Associate Fellow of the European Research Center on Contemporary Taiwan (ERCCT), University of Tübingen. I also directed and co-produced of a documentary film on Hong Kong.
