Marc Hutchby

I am a synthetic organic chemist currently working at the University of Bath within the Centre for Sustainable Chemical Technologies.

Currently my research involves the catalytic upgrading of all things terpene related! We are aiming to exploit these diverse and rich renewable hydrocarbon feedstocks for the production of advanced materials ranging from pharmaceuticals to polymers.

By integrating Chemistry and Chemical Engineering we are taking the developed reactions beyond the bench and through process intensification efforts generating scalable, green procedures for the large scale production of our new materials.
