Marcelle Townsend-Cross

Marcelle is an educator, researcher, singer/songwriter and loyal defender of social and environmental justice. Her Indigenous Australian heritage inspires her interest in the history and contemporary manifestations and impacts of colonialism in Australia as well as her research into anti-racist teaching and learning for social justice and social change. She’s worked in higher education for the past 21 years and holds a PhD from the University of Technology Sydney. She currently teaches at the School of Arts and Social Sciences, Southern Cross University.
