Maria Figueroa-Armijos is Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship at EDHEC Business School. Prior to joining EDHEC, she was an Assistant Professor of Management at American University in Washington, DC. She earned a Ph.D. in Public Policy and Entrepreneurship and a MSc. in Applied Economics from the University of Missouri.
Her academic interests lie at the intersection of entrepreneurship, public policy, and social responsibility. Current projects include research in entrepreneurial finance, women’s entrepreneurship, crowdfunding, social responsibility, and business sustainability. Her research has been published in leading journals including the Journal of Business Ethics, Regional Studies, and Small Business Economics.
