Dr Maria Flood is Lecturer in Film at Keele University. She has published widely in on Francophone and world cinema and political violence. Her monograph entitled, France, Algeria and the Moving Image: Screening Histories of Violence was published with Legenda, Oxford, in 2017. She is currently working on a British Academy funded project on the representation of radicalization, affect and gender in contemporary world cinema.
