Marie A. Eisenstein (Ph.D. Purdue University) is Associate Professor of Political Science, in the College of Arts and Science, Indiana University Northwest in Gary, Indiana. She is the author of “Religion and the Politics of Tolerance: How Christianity Builds Democracy” (Baylor Univ. Press) and various articles published in Political Behavior, Review of Religious Research, Social Science Research, and Comparative European Politics (among others).
