I have a PhD in the area of intimate partner violence, its mental health effects and women's coping behaviours with psychoactive substances.
I have a Master in Criminal Justice from the University of Western Australia and a background in psychology and social work.
I have experience with working with children, adults and families involved with violence, in particular sexual abuse.
Among other professional affiliations, I am a member of the Society of Australian Sexologists, World Association of Sexology, European Society of Sexual Medicine, and Australian Professional Society of Alcohol and other Drugs.
I joined CQUniversity in February 2017 to work in postgraduate teaching and for the Queensland Centre for Domestic and Family Violence Research. My specific interest is in sexual violence.
