Mark Evely

Mark Evely is the Chair of the Department of Applied Health Sciences and the Director of the Mortuary Science Program at Wayne State University. Mark completed his Bachelor of Science in Mortuary Science at Wayne State University, his Juris Doctor from Western Michigan University and is completing his Ph.D in Education Leadership and Policy at Wayne State University.

Professor Evely's research interests include Funeral Service Law and programmatic accreditor approaches to student achievement indicators. Mark serves on the Board of Directors of the Michigan Funeral Director's Association and as Chair of the American Board of Funeral Service Education's Committee on Accreditation.
