Worked as a fire and explosion investigator for the West Virginia State Fire Marshal's office, starting as an investigator and working up to Chief Investigator. I was a Certified Fire Investigator and a Hazardous Device Technician. Examined over 1000 fire scenes in 23 years. Currently the Assistant Clinical Professor/Director of the WVU Fire Service Extension and the WV State Fire Academy. Currently studying fatal fire causes in WV and Volunteer Firefighter Recruitment and Retention.
