Markus Klein is a Senior Lecturer in Human Development and Education Policy in the School of Education at the University of Strathclyde, UK. He previously was a research fellow for the Applied Quantitative Methods Network (AQMeN) at the University of Edinburgh and completed his Ph.D. in Sociology at the University of Mannheim. Using quantitative methods and secondary data analysis, his research is mainly concerned with the mechanisms for social inequality across the life course. The results of his research have been published in journals such as Child Development, Sociological Science, European Sociological Review or Social Science Research.
