PhD Candidate, History, University of Brighton

I am a Techne funded PhD student, working on a collaborative project which involves the critical exploration of the strategies and practices devised by the Dúchas Oral History Archive, situated in West Belfast, to acknowledge and deal with a conflicted history of the Troubles. My broader research interests include oral history, cultural memory studies, grassroots conflict resolution practices and community archival practices in 'post-conflict' contexts.

I am also a Fellow at Cumberland Lodge, a charity that seeks to tackle the causes and effects of social division through dialogue and debate.

Before my PhD, I worked as a History Teacher and I maintain an interest in teaching and learning.
