I work in the Sustainable Consumption Institute at the University of Manchester on increasing the proportion of plastics recycled in the UK by investigating system-wide changes with a group of industrial partners including the Co-Op, Unilever, Suez and BASF. My role has involved semi-structured interviewing and its analysis, formulating potential solutions and future pathways for research, facilitating partner cooperation and drafting a UKRI grant application to continue the research.
I obtained my PhD from Aberystwyth University, with the thesis demonstrating that a revised model of Personal Carbon Accounts could be socially acceptable, financially justified and likely to contribute towards increased personal awareness of emissions and emissions reduction.
