Martine Hébert (Ph.D. in psychology) is a full professor at the department of Sexology at Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM). She holds the Tier I Canada Research Chair on Interpersonal Trauma and Resilience. She is also co-holder of the Chaire interuniversitaire Marie-Vincent sur les agressions sexuelles envers les enfants and leads the FRQ-SC sexual violence and health team (EVISSA) and is a member of CRIPCAS. Her main research interests relate to child sexual abuse and adolescent dating violence. Her research projects aim to identify adaptative factors among children and adolescents who recently disclosed a sexual abuse, and to explore the diversity of profiles among victims. She is especially interested in identifying factors associated with either resilience or revictimization trajectories. In collaboration with different partners in practice settings, she has also conducted several studies to assess the efficacy of various preventive and therapeutic interventions with children and adolescents.
