Senior Lecturer, School of Occupational Therapy, Social Work and Speech Pathology, Curtin University

I am an experienced speech pathologist having worked in a variety of both public and private settings. My current research interests include Specific Language Impairment, speech sound disorders and discourse across the lifespan.

I am particularly interested in research in the areas of Specific Language Impairment, and literacy difficulties, including phonological representations and working memory, and completed my PhD in this area. I have supervised Honours students in the areas of working memory, dyslexia and speech intelligibility and am currently supervising Masters and PhD students who are researching SLI, treatment effectiveness and the relationship between mother-child interaction and motor ability in children from the age of 4 to 6 years, who may or may not have Specific Language Impairment.

I am a Certified Practicing Member of Speech Pathology Australia and a trained university accreditor.
