Mary Larkin

I am a Senior Lecturer in Health & Social Care. My particular interests are: carers, adult social care, personalisation, carer and service user empowerment, the third sector and the life course approach to health and well-being. I have led on several projects and undertaken consultancies around these areas, published widely and am a member of a number of national bodies. These include the Social Care Institute for Excellence (Co-production network), the Third Sector Research Centre, the Department of Education’s Young Carers Advisory group and the Standing Commission for Carers. I also manage an international carers research jiscmail which enables researchers, carers, service users, third sector organisations, practitioners and policy makers to share and exchange information on the evidence base for carer services, research and policy.
