Matthew E. Baker

Professor of Geography and Environmental Systems, University of Maryland, Baltimore County

Dr. Matthew Baker received a PhD from the University of Michigan in 2002. He worked as Research Ecologist at the Smithsonian Environmental Research Center before joining the faculty at Utah State University and then relocating to UMBC. His research interests involve employing geospatial applications to understand physical and chemical controls on the diversity and ecology of forests, streams, and wetlands. He lives and works in the Patapsco River watershed.
