Matthew P. Robertson

Doctoral student, Australian National University

I’m a PhD Candidate at the School of Politics and International Relations, Australian National University. I am also a research fellow in China studies at the Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation, a nonprofit human rights organization based in Washington, D.C. My doctoral research deals with medicine, legality and coercion in China, with a focus on organ trafficking. I primarily use computational methods and statistics, but am also interested in the theoretical implications of state control and management of the bodies of citizens (biopolitics). My broader intellectual interests include philosophy of science, genocide studies, social thought, and more.
