Md Arif Hasan, PhD

I am a Policy Analyst at the NZ Ministry for the Environment. I pursued my PhD in Environmental Studies from Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand. I worked as a tutor at Victoria University of Wellington between 2017 and 2020. The courses that I tutored include 'GEOG 112: Introduction to Human Geography and Development Studies', 'GEOG 114: Environment and Resources: the Foundations', 'GEOG 212: Worlds of Development' and ‘GEOG 314: Advanced Environment and Resources: Global Issues’. I earned my Masters of City & Regional Planning from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, Saudi Arabia in 2016 and worked as a grader of the course 'CRP 505: Statistical analysis in planning' there. I did my Bachelor of Urban and Regional Planning from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) in 2012. I am a self-motivated and organized researcher with over five years of teaching and research experiences in the field of urban planning, climate change, environment and transport. I have published several scientific journal articles, conference papers and media articles in different international refereed journals, conference proceedings and renowned media.
