Megan Zeni is a fourth year PhD student in the Faculty of Education at UBC. Her research interests include developing professional learning communities with in-service teachers to bridge emerging theories with teaching practices that include unstructured outdoor play as a pedagogical approach. Megan has over 20 years of experience as a professional educator, and currently teaches in a public school outdoor and garden classroom. She consults extensively on garden classroom start up and maintenance, as well as practical tips for joyful learning with all sorts of loose parts in the school garden and beyond.
