Melissa K. Andrew is Professor of Geriatric Medicine at Dalhousie University in Canada. She did a Masters of Public Health at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and completed an Interdisciplinary PhD at Dalhousie studying frailty and social vulnerability in older adults. Her research focuses on frailty and social context in relation to dementia and vaccine preventable infections, as well as on models of primary care and long-term care for frail older adults. In her clinical practice, she works with older adults and families navigating frailty and dementia journeys, and she has served as a board member of the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia for many years.
