Melvyn Quan

I qualified as a veterinarian at the University of Pretoria in 1997 and worked briefly as a veterinary surgeon in the United Kingdom before completing an MSc degree in copper deficiency in blesbok at the University of Pretoria and then a PhD on the quantitative dynamics of foot-and-mouth disease virus infection in pigs at the University of Edinburgh.
