Dr Wondemaghen is a criminology lecturer at the University of Southampton. Her research interests include mental health law & mental defences; constructionism; and popular culture & crime.
She is currently researching the policing of mental illness in England and the scope of the insanity defence within international human rights law framework.
She has held visiting scholarships at Northumbria Law School (2014) and Sydney University Law School (2015), and has recently hosted a panel discussion on the Investigatory Powers Bill for the Festival of Social Science.
