Michael Borg is currently carrying out postdoctoral research within the Department of Wind Energy at the Technical University of Denmark on floating vertical axis wind turbine concepts supported by the EU-funded DeepWind and INFLOW projects.

He obtained his PhD at Cranfield University within the area of floating vertical axis wind turbine dynamics. His PhD was funded by the FP7 H2OCEAN project which involved the design and assessment of a combined floating wind and wave energy converter for hydrogen fuel production.

His main research interests include: marine hydrodynamics; integrated dynamics of floating systems and marine operations; motion control of offshore structures; ocean space utilisation and dynamical systems.
