Professor of Pain and Magnetic Resonance Imaging, The University of Melbourne
Dr Farrell is an honorary professor at both the Department of Anatomy and Neuroscience and the Florey Department of Neuroscience and Mental Health.
He has received numerous grants from the NHMRC over the past decade to investigate pain perception and neural responses to pain.
He was awarded the Prize for Gerontological Research from the SANDOZ International Federation in 1994 and received a Post Graduate Scholarship from the National Ageing Research Institute from 1993 - 1999.
