Michael Rose is an anthropologist based at the Australian National University's Development Policy Centre and has has previously worked as a farmer, aid worker, public servant and teacher throughout Asia and Australia. He is currently working on issues related to labour mobility between Timor-Leste and Australia. More broadly he is is interestedhow ostensibly universal ideas are remade through their integration into indigenous frameworks and individuals, communities and things are transformed by global movement and connection.
