Michael Swanson

I am a current PhD Student at the University of Otago researching the role of the Opposition in New Zealand's political system. I have previously completed a Master of International Studies (with a dissertation looking at Australian and New Zealand Defence relations with South-East Asia) and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Politics (dissertation on leadership in the National Party during the 2000's). I spent several years working in Wellington in a number of government departments.
