Michelle Forsythe

Assistant Professor of STEM Education, Texas State University

Michelle Forsythe joined the faculty of the Department of Curriculum and Instruction in the College of Education at Texas State University in 2016 after having completed her Ph.D. in Teaching, Learning, and Diversity at Vanderbilt University. Dr. Forsythe has over twenty years of experience as a PK-16 STEM teacher and teacher educator. Her research focuses on expanding science learning opportunities for elementary students and teachers in formal and informal learning environments. She currently teaches science and STEM methods courses for university students who are training to be teachers. These courses are guided by her motto, “It is a worthy thing to give wings to students’ wonder”.
